Webinar on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012

Pioneer Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Vadodara, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), organized an online Zoom webinar on “Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012” on 27th July 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The programme was conducted with the support of Sakshi NGO and The Rakshin Project to create awareness about child protection, legal provisions under the POCSO Act, and the responsibilities of healthcare professionals in safeguarding children.

The webinar was graced by Dr. Alpesh Shah, Principal, Dr. Anand Patel, NSS Programme Officer, and Dr. Meera Pandya, HOD and Professor of Forensic Medicine. The keynote session was delivered by Ms. Paavni Sharma, Speaker from The Rakshin Project by Sakshi NGO, New Delhi, who provided valuable insights into the prevention of child sexual abuse, legal reporting mechanisms, and the role of medical professionals in ensuring child safety. The session was informative, interactive, and highly beneficial for students, faculty members, and healthcare professionals.
